Natural Look
Creating a natural looking outdoor artificial pond, or water garden, has many skill and labor intensive steps. Plan well in advance such things like landscaping, statues, fountains, pond shape and size, waterfalls, streams, pathways, islands and bridges, etc. A level ground sans large trees with a little higher ground nearby can create cascades or waterfall. Pipe lines and optional pump with filters for pumping water and electrical supply to pump must be arranged carefully.

Water Fountains
Water fountains add beauty and dynamism to the garden of natural things. Water Fountains have many advantages such as helping aeration of pond water, keeping high levels of oxygen, which in turn prevents stagnation of water. They help control growth of algae and aquatic weeds, reduce formation of sludge and lend beauty to the garden.

(Submersible spot light 5 lens pond pool water fountain) Two Kinds Of Lights

Filed under: Water Fountains — Admin @ 5:28 pm

Two Kinds Of Lights
Basically, there are two kinds of lights available for ponds, halogen lights (which have been around for quite a while), and LED, which are more recent developments. Here are some differences between the two. Note that here we are addressing 12volt systems only. Some advantages of LEDs: focused light, solidly built and durable, hard to break. LEDs last twice as long as the best fluorescent bulbs and 20 times longer than incandescent bulbs. LEDs also are more efficient per watt and produce greater lumens per watt than incandescent or halogen bulbs. LEDs can be built in a number of colors so they do not require a filter, which greatly reduces efficiency of light. Finally, LEDs run cooler and are less likely to warm the pond or have their seals damaged because of the cooler running temperatures.
